Eye
Contact
Making eye contact makes your face
more appealing whether you are a man or a woman. Psychologists have shown
that the attractiveness of a face that you do not recongnise increases the
brain activity in part of the brain that is linked to reward, the ventral
striatum, when eye contact is made, and that the brain activity in this area
is reduced when eye contact is not made; Kampe in the Journal Nature, 2001.
Eye contact psychologically clearly increases the likelihood in people’s
minds of getting a pleasant surprise or reward of some
type!
